My name is Andrea and I was blessed to have come across Adrianne through a mutual friend. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have met him – not only from a fitness standpoint, but from a personal development and growth point of view as well. Here is my story…

A mother of one who had recently returned to the workforce (my little boy was almost 2 1/2 years old at the time), I was looking to get back into shape and start playing soccer again – something I enjoyed before having my son. I had started by getting my nutrition in order, which made a huge difference, but I knew that, for me, getting the endorphins flowing would make the spiritual difference and help me find me again (instead of just being a wife and mum).

After my first session, I felt amazing! Adrianne and I ‘clicked’ instantly and his outlook and attitude towards training was something I had never experienced with a trainer before. Ninety per cent of what Adrianne does is MENTAL, so if you are not prepared to deal with some emotional/psychological crap, then he may not be for you! Your ‘stuff’ will come up, ready or not, so be Andreaprepared to do some deep soul-searching… it may not happen right away, but when you are ready to see it, you will need to challenge yourself in order to excel – it’s not just about the physical body, but rather about overcoming the mental limitations we put on ourselves, for whatever reason (i.e. telling ourselves we just “can’t” do one more, when there truthfully is no good physical reason for us not to!). If I have your attention yet, good – I am speaking your language!

I found out I was pregnant less than a month into our training sessions, but decided that I wanted to continue as I wanted to challenge myself to see how fit and confident I could be all the way through my pregnancy. It was awesome! I was happy and energetic throughout and lived for my workouts because I felt so amazing during and afterwards. My husband joined towards the end of the sessions to have some ‘us’ time and to see what all the fuss was about (as I couldn’t stop raving about how great I felt) – he too felt awesome!

All I can say is that I now have two young boys (the elder is 3 and a bit years old and the younger is almost 4 months old) and I got back into my ‘skinny jeans’ after 2 weeks!! I gained far less weight with my pregnancy, worked out well into my ninth month (with some minor adaptations) and felt amazing!

My husband and I recently moved overseas to Scotland (in May 2007), which is where I gave birth to our second son in July, and there is no way I could have managed all these changes and mental challenges had I not been so well prepared by overcoming some mental barriers with Adrianne’s help. I challenge anyone to try him out and see what they are capable of. If you have worked with a trainer in the past, all the better, because he is like no other trainer out there. Adrianne’s focus is definitely not on ‘no pain, no gain’, but rather all about challenging your mental focus and self-drive. Challenge yourself!!
