Attitude Is Key

One thing I’ve been thinking a lot about lately is attitude. When it comes to training, toning and weight loss, a positive attitude really seems to be the biggest key to success.

Like most things in life, you are going to have highs and lows as you train. You’re going to have huge successes, and then you’re likely going to experience a plateau at some point. The most important thing you can do is persevere, stay positive, and remain focused on your goal.

imageI want to share this quote that was given to me by a client. It is by Charles Swindoll, author of a book called Great Attitudes!:

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or do. It is more important than appearances, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company… church…home. The remarkable thing is that I have a choice every day regarding the atitudes I will embrace for that day. I cannot change my past… I cannot change the fact that people will act a certain way. I cannot change the inevitable. The only thing I can do is play the one string I have, and this is my attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it.

I hope this perspective will be as helpful to you as it has been to me.
