Quick Tips

The Power of Himalayan Salts

There are many quick-and-easy steps you can take to improve your health. One of the easiest is to make a fewimage changes to your diet and routine to help enhance your mood, metabolism and energy levels.

The simple act of putting a pinch of Himalayan salt (available at most health food stores) in your drinking water can make a huge difference. Himalayan salts have a balancing affect that is important for overall wellness. They help by restoring electrolytes and promoting relaxation. The salts are also great for many ailments like tense muscles, eczema, psoriasis, and many others.

The Beauty of Green Tea

We all look for a magic pill to promote good health and wellness, but sadly, there isn’t one. A combination of hard work, better choices, and taking advantage of some of nature’s gifts is our answer.

One such gift is green tea. Drinking green tea will promote greater levels of antioxidants, helping boost your metabolism, lower cholesterol levels, give you Vitamin C, plus reduce your susceptibility to strokes.

The hustle and bustle of our society encourages us to drink ridiculous amounts of caffeine in things like coffee and pop. But these two sources of caffeine promote dehydration, which has numerous side effects. They also lack the attributes of green tea.

Though green tea has less caffeine, you could argue that you could live better on green tea and still get your buzz. The health benefits of green tea are due to the process with which it is made. Green tea is steamed, and this keeps all the antioxidants locked in. Black teas are fermented, which kills all the antioxidants.

Morning Workouts

You might be surprised to learn that it’s not only how you workout, but also when, that can make a difference in your training. I recommend that people workout in the mornings whenever possible. There are many added benefits, including:

  • An energy boost that will last throughout the day
  • An improved mood and outlook, with the release of feel-good endorphins
  • A metabolism boost that will help you burn extra calories all day, sometimes for up to 24 hours
  • Morning workouts may also help to reduce your craving for unhealthy foods

Exercise has been shown to sharpen mental function…so when you workout in the morning, you’ll be smarter for the rest of the day.
